TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

In January 2004, two articles were published by THE REGISTER, a web-based news source in the UK, stemming from an
HP internal document that had been leaked to them by an HP employee. Without checking its facts, THE REGISTER named
Ms. Debbe Kennedy, President of Leadership Solutions Companies, in both articles, falsely claiming her involvement and
suggesting she was responsible for authoring the HP internal document. Unfortunately, this misinformation and unfair
characterization of Ms. Kennedy by THE REGISTER continues to spread and multiply through the Internet.

We deeply regret that Ms. Kennedy has in any way been implicated in this HP internal matter. She is a valued business
partner at HP and we are grateful for her many contributions spanning our ongoing ten-year relationship. Should any
